Gamers deserve gifts for Valentine’s Day too! So why not give them a gift they’ll LOVE! Here are some great ideas other than the obvious new games or game accessories. Note: Some links are affiliate links.
Valentine’s Day Gifts for Gamers
Solid Milk Chocolate Game Controller from amazon.com
$19.90 but there is only a few left in stock so you better hurry! Alternatively you can buy a mold and do it yourself!
Or perhaps Wii Remotes are more your style? There’s a chocolate mold for that too!
Game Points Cards
These are cards designed for a specific game and sometimes a specific system that allow you to access purchasable content in the game. For example a card for The Sims 3 would allow you to put those points into your account to buy downloadable content from the Sims Store.
There are tons available and you can get them at many stores. Stores that sell video games or computer games should have them such as Best Buy or Walmart or often, your local gaming store. I’ve seen them at some Pharmacies and corner stores too.
Game Strategy Guides
Some games have so much to them that strategy guides are created to help gamers out. In the case of roleplaying games (like the Dungeons & Dragons book to the left) the books are used to help the game master run a great roleplaying game.
These can be great gifts however I would suggest non-chalantly finding out if your giftee would enjoy something like this before buying it. Not every person who plays a game with a strategy book available would want one.
Many book stores (especially bigger ones) carry these types of strategy guides for games and some gaming stores probably carry them as well.
Guinness World Records 2014: Gamer’s Edition
How cool would it be to check out some world records that are gamer related? This book is totally on my wishlist. You can find this book on Amazon.com for only $8.30!
“The Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition is the ultimate guide to videogames. The all-new 2014 book is bursting with news and views from the gaming world, alongside the latest and very best records relating to the world’s most popular games. Amazing trivia sits alongside hard facts and top tips on how to achieve greater feats on the games you love.” – description from Amazon.com
Game Magazines
There are gamer magazines too for all different video game systems and types of games. There are so many more than pictured at left. You’ll have to check your local store that sells magazines to see which ones are available where you are.
Great ideas! My daughter is making the turn to being a gamer and she would love this stuff. Thank you.
My son loves getting game cards for any holiday. He would go nuts over that chocolate controller.
OMG that chocolate controller is too cool!! These would all be right up my hubby’s alley.
