Drunken Cards is a drinking card game reportedly similar to King’s Cup and Ring of Fire. If you are looking for a simple drinking game other than beer pong this is a nice choice.
3+ players
19+ or 21+ (depending on drinking age in your country)
It’s very straightforward and easy to play (which is necessary for when you get a little more… drunk.) The rules for each card are ON each card so no pulling out a the rules sheet to try to figure it out.
Also the cards are water resistant which is genius if you ask me. The cards are also a little thicker than normal which will also mean less bends and tears from silly players.
*Disclosure: I received a copy of this game for evaluation. Affiliate links included.
You don’t lay the cards out to play I just did that so you could see the wide variety of cards that there are.
To play you pour drinks all around and put the stack of cards in the middle of everyone. When it’s your turn, you pick up a card and follow the instructions. Play continues around and around. To win you just have to be the last one standing.
As you can see Drunken Cards is pretty straightforward. I apologize if you were hoping for photos of my drunken friends playing the game but we haven’t fully tested it out.
Some cards have one person drinking (e.g. Haha! I drink!) while some have many drinking (e.g. All Women Drink!) Some are contests (e.g. Hold Your Breath card) and there is an Immunity Card. Some are simple (the person to the right of you drinks) and some are more complex (play a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors and the loser drinks.)
Also the little drink pictures on the cards are a nice touch.
Drunken Cards is on Amazon.com for $12.98 or $9.99 US + Shipping on Ebay.
This would be a great gift for friends that host a New Years party each year. Always a fun group and they live just down the street, so the best part is we can walk and not worry about driving.
Well, THIS feels like the perfect way to get some stellar shenanigans going. I love it!
Sounds like an interesting game. I do not drink but I bet this would be fun at parties.
You know we’re all about games! This looks like a good one to try when the kids aren’t around. Let us know if you need more suggestions!
I think since it’s a drinking game it’s a great feature that they made the cards water resistant. I have some friends that love drinking games that would enjoy this.
I need this water-resistant deck since I really go crazy when I drink and play cards at the same time :(
