5 Romantic Board Games for Couples
This is two games in one being both a board game and a card game. In the board game you roll a die and move around the board and follow the instructions on that space. In the card game, you draw cards and follow the instructions. Each game space or card encourages you to do something for your partner. The game’s objective is to improve communication and expression. The Romantic Rendezvous game is available on Amazon.com for $44.99 but may be available elsewhere.
Authenticity: The Relationship Board Game
This game is more about getting to really know your special someone with cards on 7 different life topics. Move around the board and pick up the corresponding card and read the question so your special someone can answer it. This game is designed for those in serious relationships or who are engaged or newly married. The website explains more about the game with sample questions. Authenticity is available from certain sellers on Amazon for the hefty price of $75. You might be able to find the game somewhere else for cheaper. FYI: It looks like the game is Australian as the cards refer to your special someone as your mate.
Syncrohearts is another hard to find game but it’s really good if you can find it. This game is good for helping new relationships as well as healing relationships or helping re-ignite the love in long-term relationships. The game takes less than an hour to play. You can find a copy on Amazon.com from another seller for about $25. If you have an Apple device you can download the Syncrohearts app as well.
I saved the best game for last. Marital Bliss was originally a kickstarter campaign and I can see why people helped with it. This game technically doesn’t fall under romance games as it’s different than the ones above which are about getting to know each other or romance but it’s no X-rated game either! Unlike the typical game that lasts a few minutes to a few hours, this game lasts up to a week! Marital Bliss is actually a card game and you can even get it as a FREE DOWNLOAD if you want!
The cards in this game give you missions, strategies and rewards. Missions are something you can do to earn points. Do the Brownie point for extra points. These are missions that you do later or over time such as “relinquish the remote to your significant other for an evening” or “ask spouse’s opinion on something – and validate it“ The strategy cards mix things up a bit and the reward cards give you a reward of course such as “buy whatever you want $50 or less“ or “four hours to do whatever the heck you want.” If you are worried about getting a card you can’t or won’t do, you’ll be happy to know that in the rules, it says to go through the cards first and take anything out you really can’t/won’t use. You can buy the game for $20 or get a discount if you buy in bulk.
*Marital Bliss is not included because unfortunately it’s not yet available on Amazon.com
